Great God of Wonders

Old Mill Point June 22-28, 2024

The Great God of Wonders Conference is a festival of scripture, song, and splendor. This event welcomes singles, couples, and families of all ages who have a desire to grow deeper in the grace and knowledge of our Lord through expository preaching and singing great classic and contemporary hymns.

Mornings begin with quiet times/personal devotions where adults and older teens can enjoy meeting with God in Bible study, reflection, prayer, and song. We then gather together for hymn singing and Bible teaching. During the morning, children have their own program activities led by Cedar Bay staff/crew.

Afternoons offer unhurried time for rest, reading, enjoying God’s creation, conversations with other campers, time with families, and many recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, sailing, etc. Optional tracks for those interested will delve deeper in scripture, song, and creation.

Evenings provide time for Small Group Bible discussions, hymn singing, and other activities.

Guest Expositor: George Stulac

George Stulac became a Christian in 1965 when he was a history major at Washington University. It was through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship that he came to faith in Christ and gained a deep enjoyment of Bible exposition. George then attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He met his wife Barbara who is a graduate of Columbia University and has been George’s full-time partner in ministry. They were married in 1969.

When George finished his M.Div. degree, they moved to Nebraska and served in campus ministry for 5 years. George went on to be Pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Kansas for 5 years, and then Senior Pastor of Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Louis for 33 years. During that time he earned a D.Min. degree at Covenant Theological Seminary.

Along the way George and Barbara reared 4 children and now have 8 grandchildren. Currently George serves on InterVarsity staff in St. Louis for the spiritual formation of InterVarsity’s campus staff and faculty in the Midwest. George’s hobbies and recreation include hiking, running, reading (he loves mystery novels), gardening, and watching birds
