Guest Speaker: Jim Bontrager
Married to his wife Susie for 38 years, Jim is a father of 9, a former Reserve Police Officer, and a full-time Chaplain with the Elkhart Police Department in Indiana. He holds his Diplomate Chaplain credentials with the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC) and serves as President of the organization.
Jim was appointed a Sagamore of the Wabash by Indiana Governor Mike Pence in 2015. He is the author of the official law enforcement curriculum for the movie Courageous and is certified as a law enforcement instructor by the State of Indiana. Jim is also an instructor with the Indiana Criminal Patrol Commission (ICPC). As the founder and director of the organization Warrior on the Wall, he leads an organization dedicated to addressing law enforcement suicide, family breakdown, and the unique emotional and spiritual challenges faced by those in the profession.
