Operation Bootcamp is a weekend military family retreat experience specifically designed for military families – from all branches of military services and statuses.
This retreat strives to validate military families’ experiences they have faced and continue to face during the uniqueness of military life. This shared experience is sure to strengthen existing bonds, as well as begin new friendships with others in various phases of military life.
When registering, please choose your preferred accommodation and list the name of the primary sponsor. Then, register all additional family members as guests you'll be bringing with you.

Rufus was born in Richlands, North Carolina. He entered the US Army in 1969 and served two combat tours. Upon retirement, he and his wife served as missionaries on the island of Okinawa, Japan, to the Asia Military Ministries, from 1998 to 2009.
CSM (R) Parker held numerous leadership positions in the Army including Squad/Fire Team Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Battalion Command Sergeant; Commandment of the Quartermaster NCO Academy; and Group Command Sergeant Major. His awards and decorations are numerous including the Legion of Merit; nine Good Conduct Medals, three Meritorious Service Medals, six Army Commendation Medals, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry; the Presidential Unit Citation, and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He was also a member of the Distinguished Sergeant Morales Club.
During the last five years of his military career, he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Army on Okinawa. In addition to his military responsibilities during that time, he pastored a church in Okinawa, Japan, and served as Asia Military District Coordinator.
Rufus and his wife Pamela have three wonderful children and eleven fantastic grandchildren. The Parkers are now living in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he serves as the Section 4 Presbyter in the Wisconsin District, UPCI. Rufus is the author of eight books including: Developing the Man in the Mirror.
