Why Join the Summer Crew?

If you are looking for a significant way to serve God this summer, prayerfully consider working at Cedar Bay. Serving is hard work but has many rewards. The interaction with guests and fellow staff encourages spiritual growth and lasting friendships.

We are looking for people between the ages of 18-25 who are willing to commit to at least 4 weeks of service (crew training + 3 weeks minimum.) We desire those who have a sincere love for the Lord, wish to grow as a follower of Christ, and put others first for the good of the ministry and our guests.

Starting pay is $225 per week with housing and meals included.

If you have any questions, email our Program Director - John Leavell ([email protected]), or call our office at 906-484-2294.

Summer Overview

Crew Training Week

To prepare the crew for their summer responsibilities, Cedar will conduct an extensive crew training program as soon as they arrive at camp.

Family Camp Ministries

Our summer ministry mainly consists of family camps. Campers arrive Saturday afternoon and depart on Friday morning. At Cedar Bay, we have two camp facilities- one on both sides of Prentiss Bay (Mariners Cove and Old Mill Point). We operate two separate family camps simultaneously throughout the summer. Along with your service, there are many opportunities for you to engage with the campers and participate in some of the programming.

Ministry Support

Upon being hired, each staff member is asked to submit 20 names of friends, family members, and churches who may be interested in being a part of a personal ministry team. This ministry team has three components: Prayer Support, Financial Support, and Encouragement Support.

Partners in ministry play an important role in supporting you as a summer crew member to thrive and serve well throughout the summer. The financial support helps to offset your salary and enables Cedar Bay to provide competitive salaries to our staff.
